Back in March, the Phi Sigma Chi group sponsored a very unique event called the Penny War to raise money for the American Cancer Society. They had containers in which groups could deposit pennies into their own containers, earning a single point for each penny. However, if you add anything in value above a penny, such as nickels, dimes, quarters, or even dollar bills, they counted against you (ie $5.00 = -500 points). So, you can compete by putting larger amounts in your opponents jars!The winners get a free bowling party here at Camelot Lanes this month.
We feel wonderful whenever we can help out a good cause. Fundraisers for things like Hospice of the Valley and the American Cancer society are very important to maintaining the quality of life of the folks here in the valley.
