From Sad to Happy, and Holidays too

This past weekend was made more fun than ever with two very
different parties.

The first was a first. Camelot Lanes hosted a wake. The deceased
had been an avid bowler… all his life in league, and in his prime- on
the Pro circuit.

After the cemetery burial the family arrived in T shirts that had his
PBA picture on the front.

He had left a beautiful gold watch. Two family members jousted for
possession with a single game of bowling. These young men were
cheered on by their respective family branch. The winner will wear
the gold watch for a year, until next December, when the family will
gather again at Camelot for the annual match.

The second party was a company Holiday event. With chicken, roast
beef, roasted potatoes, and even crème Brule on the menu, this party
kept our kitchen hopping.

The bar tables were decorated with greens, poinsettias, and
nutcrackers. A King Arthur nutcracker lorded over the way too long
buffet table.

There were presents, and praises by management, for hard work well
done during the previous year. What a very reasonable way to do a
some team building during the holiday season.

My regret is that my camera stayed in my pocket. Anyone have
pictures?
