Camelot Lanes: Something For Everyone

It seems as of late that bowling has gone the wayside for many people. In the Valley in particular it as though many don’t see bowling as a fun sport to be a part of. Despite this, Camelot Lanes, through a myriad of activities, is seeking to change the way people see bowling.
The trying economic times in which we live definitely inspire some of our best ideas. Every Thursday night from 9PM until midnight is something we call Quartermania. For only $8 you get a wrist band with which you can get delicious Perky’s Pizza, hot dogs, or pop for only a QUARTER! Don’t forget our Domestic Draft beer is only $1! Similarly, we have Dollar Days every Sunday from noon until 9PM through the month of September. Dollar items include bowling, shoes, pizza, hot dogs, pop, and draft beer. If you and you’re family are looking for something fun to do on a budget, Camelot Lanes is the place to go.
Looking for more mature fun? Look no further, as we have a number of things going on that’ll suit your needs. HIP Night, the biggest party in Boardman, happens here each Monday night from 10PM until 2AM. A $6 cover charge gets you in the door, and you get $6 worth of our “Glow Dough” which you can use to bowl all night, or you can use it to get food ar at the bar. Don’t forget, however, you must be 18 years old with a valid ID to get in; no exceptions. In addition, we have a Karaoke Contest, hosted by DJ Dominic, each Wednesday from 9PM until 1AM. Stop by to belt out some of your favorite tunes and at the end of the season we will be presenting a prize to the winner. Don’t forget our NFL Sunday Ticket. Watch up to 12 games every Sunday, and ask about our drink specials during the game. Also, there will be free appetizers at halftime of the 1 and 4 o’clock games. So, if you’re looking for some more “mature” fun, this is the place to come.
Now, let’s get to the brass tax: BOWLING. How can we forget why we’re here? We have plenty of tournaments and leagues of varying levels of commitment and skill and age. We have the 224 Short Season League, which is a 7 week session beginning Friday Sept. 25. Teams are comprised of four, and your first drink is free. Also, we have the Pizza -n-Beer or Margaritaville Leagues. These leagues begin on Sept. 17 and will bowl every other week. The Pizza & Beer leagues includes 3 games, shoes, a league party, and two pitchers of beer. The Margaritaville league includes 3 games, shoes, platter of Super Nachos, and a pitcher of frozen margarita. And to top it all off, it’s only $12.95 per person per week.We also have a Harley Davidson league in both Adult (begins Wed. Sept. 23) format and junior/adult format (begins Thursday Sept. 24).
We also have a number of youth bowling opportunities. Each year over 6 million dollars in bowling scholarships are awarded to youth bowlers. Camelot will be hosting the first scholarship tournament on Sunday Sept. 13 at 9AM. We also have a Short Season Junior Doubles League. Scholarships are awarded to one out of 5 teams. This will be on Mondays at 7PM beginning Sept. 14 for 7 weeks.
